Suffering from chronic back pain? This might help!
What inspired me to write about this, was that at the beginning of Spring, I finally felt the urge to move my body again, after what felt like a long hibernation. I returned to the Yoga studio where I haven’t stepped foot for the past 4 years because of, you guessed it: chronic back pain.
Creating space for creativity
If you are working in a creative field and sometimes feel stuck, this is for you! Especially if you are a writer and/or can take your work anywhere.
Goal setting minus the pressure
As Entrepreneurs and Artists, we are used to setting goals for our business/art. At the beginning of our journey, the ultimate goal being: living off our creativity, the services/ products we sell because we absolutely looooove what we do and cannot imagine doing anything else. Right?!
How to make decisions
One of the things that initially inspired me to write about this topic was a friend of mine sending me a picture of a book a few weeks ago. The book’s title read: The decision book.
Slow living & love making
This post is for couples who have been together for a while, live together and have a routine. I write from my perspective & experience as well as my friends’ who are women in long-term healthy heterosexual / monogamous relationships. No relationship is the same
Express more to heal and less to impress
I believe that the body talks to us all the time but most of the time we don’t listen and then from time to time, it speaks louder and we perceive it as pain which then has an impact on our lives…
The holistic revolution
A few years back, I took my first coaching course with a school I’m sure many of you know: the IIN (the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (I’m not sponsored). It’s a great school and course. It’s probably thanks to that course that I learned the meaning of holistic…
It’s never too late to fulfill a dream!
I find it a very inspiring time of the year though and make the most out of the dark days by going inwards, reviewing what has worked, what I’ve learnt this past year and focusing on next year’s goal(s).
Life, this great mirror!
Never was the mirror as well polished as this week!
Let me first explain what I mean by ‘life is a mirror’: whenever something bothers you/ triggers you on the outside (people, politics, situations, institutions…) it’s reflecting a part of you.
I first heard this kind of counter-intuitive sentence
Conditioning
For the last few years, I’ve been in a process of what I call de-conditioning myself of any kind of thought/ belief that is not serving my growth or not enabling me to go in the direction I want to go towards. For example, growing up I heard many sentences
What you don’t hear about ‘manifesting’
In my previous post, I wrote about all the steps that lead to manifesting our office but I didn’t mention an important component of the story because I myself totally forgot about it.
What I didn’t write about, is that I actually
How Bianca and I manifested our Office
Back in June, I decided that I wanted an office overlooking the Rhine - the river that goes through Basel, where I live. It was very clear. I wanted to be able to write and look up from time to time and see water. I was certain that the constant flow of water
Time traveling
Last Thursday I dreamt that I was able to travel to the past and to the future. A recurring dream and a topic I find fascinating. If I'd write fiction, it would definitely be one of the main theme.
What my back pain taught me this week
Last week on Tuesday, I woke up with a bit of back pain but I thought it will loosen up throughout the day. Instead it just got worse and worse to the point that the only position that was okay was lying down. I was slowly witnessing my upper body shift forward and to the side, unable to stand straight anymore.
Timing and other things
I often say things like ‘I wish I would have started that [blank] earlier’, usually when I finally decide to do that thing I’ve been thinking about doing for a while but wasn’t sure whether or not to do it.
Let me explain.
Speak your truth but even more so: OWN it!
Last week I was on the phone with my grandma. At some point, she asked me something that I knew she was not going to like the answer to. And yet, I replied honestly without trying to explain myself or trying to convince her or caring about the impact my answer was going to have.
What does it mean to be authentic?
Be authentic! We see those words so much nowadays. They became kind of catch words in the modern world.
And every time I read that, I thought to myself: yeah I am pretty authentic cause I don’t lie!
Being authentic by Merriam-Webster: true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character.
2020 & 2021, the years we learnt spontaneity
For over a year now, we have not been able to practice our favorite 21st century hobby:
PLAN & SCHEDULE
Complaining vs Manifesting
Complaining, the french national hobby. I bathed into it growing up.
We all do it, but the French would definitely win the olympics if it were a sport.
What is work?
Being french, a question I’ve asked myself many times over the years and in this fast-changing world, even more so.
